It all started for Dj Rapid back in 1996 when i first heard dj hypes world dance cd.From that day forward drum and bass has been his life and made me have a passion and love for the music but also gave me the hunger and drive to be a dj. In 1998 I managed to save up the money for my first set of turntables and always spending what i could afford on records each week to practice my mixing skills. As time went on practicing most days of the week he started playing out at local parties and some small nights...this gave me more experience and even more hunger to archieve what he always wanted to do. In 2001 he managed to get a residency for a monthy night in Stratford what i was doing for around 2 years to get my name established but also picking up other small bookings aswell due to doing mix tapes and giving them to promoters for other nights. His first big booking was for Raveology the return of the Q 2008 things were going even stronger for dj Rapid putting more effort in to his work playing on multiple turntables 3 or 4 and entering a number of dj competitions such and the kam worldwide mix challenge what i just missed out on the finals but also entering on the same year plasa 08 worldwide competition what was massive and comming first place and was rewarded to play on drum and bass arena tv the biggest drum and bass website in the world with future invites back to play over the near future. Getting more established dj rapid has managed to play at big nights such as Fantazia,Raveoligy,starlight,hysteria,drum and bass essence,musik hertz, concrete dub,random concept,north vs south,masters of the past and many more.. Getting onboard with dj escape and his label musik hertz also has helped dj rapid get that establishment across the UK also with some bookings starting in Europe. He now runs a night called credit crunk and whilst putting in work into making tracks as often as possible with plans to set up his own label towards the end of 2009.
